Witnesses: Delivery truck kills woman

A mother of five was killed Monday afternoon when she was struck by a delivery truck, according to witnesses.
Officials say Cheniqua Silva was waiting at a bus stop, talking to her husband on the phone, when the truck hit her at around 3:30 p.m.
A Coca-Cola truck crashed into several pedestrians on East 138th Street, slicing off part of Silva's head and injuring several others.
A company representative told News 12 that Coca-Cola is coopering with investigators, and that the beverage giant extended its condolences to Silva's family.
Witnesses say the truck swerved to avoid a motorcycle, then crashed into an SUV and careened off the road into several pedestrians.
The owner of a nearby pastry shop says the woman who was killed in the accident was a temporary worker there and was on her way home for the day.
Six other people were injured. They were taken to Lincoln Hospital and Jacobi Medical Center.
Neighbors say the intersection has been extremely dangerous, and that they've already complained to the city.
