Police seek knife-wielding man in Rite Aid burglary

Police say an active manhunt is underway for the suspect they say robbed a Rite Aid store in Wakefield.

Investigators say the incident occurred this past Sunday at around 11:00 p.m. along Baychester Avenue.

Police say surveillance video shows the suspect walking into the store, and whipping out a knife. They say he demanded a 22-year-old employee at the store to open the cash register and stole $439. They then say he ran off.

Authorities say no injuries were reported.
