Word on the Street: Veterans Day

Many Bronx residents were off from work and school Wednesday to mark Veterans Day -- a time to honor those who have served in the U.S. military.



President Barack Obama said the nation is in the middle of a new wave of veterans who served in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere. He asked communities and businesses to consider hiring veterans as they fill job openings.
