Fire torches 3-family home in Woodlawn

Fire scorched a three-family home in Woodlawn Monday evening.
Officials say no one was hurt in the 236th Street fire, which began around 5 p.m., but the inside of the house was charred black.
Anthony Scalere, who lives on the second floor, says it was his downstairs neighbor who first spotted the flames.
Tenants on the third floor moved in on Sunday.
They say they had just finished moving all of their belongings into the apartment and are unsure whether they can salvage anything.
