Officers meet with business owners to discuss safety

Officers from the 50th Precinct met with Kingsbridge business owners Wednesday to discuss area safety in the weeks after a brutal murder.

Business owners say meetings with law enforcement officials are crucial, especially after what happened in their usually quiet neighborhood.

A manager at the McDonald's at 5765 Broadway was stabbed to death Jan. 4 while on the job.

Officers explained the importance of security cameras, and fliers were handed out with tips on how to handle dangerous situations.
