Man wanted in connection to robberies at 3 shops

Police are searching for a man they believe is connected to three store robberies in Castle Hill.

The first robbery took place last Sunday at Top 1 Fashions on Castle Hill Avenue around 2 p.m.

The store's clerk says he fought off the suspect, who ran away empty handed.

Less than two hours later, the suspect is believed to have robbed a cellphone store on Westchester Avenue.

The suspect allegedly acted as if he had a gun in his pocket and was given four phones by the store's clerk.

The following day, the suspect allegedly entered a clothing store also located on Westchester Avenue and again acted as if he was armed.

Surveillance video from the third store caught the suspect on camera demanding and receiving cash from the store's clerk.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect in the surveillance video is asked to call police.
