Fire survivors: Prospect Ave. building had no fire escape

Survivors of a Sunday fire on Prospect Avenue say their building had no fire escapes.
They also say it had only a few working smoke alarms.
Angel Barrios, a 24-year-old father whose home at 920 Prospect Ave. went up in flames, says Sunday's scene was like a part in a movie.
He says he guided his wife and children out the burning building's front door. There was, according to people who live there, no other way out.
Officials say the fire began on the second floor and injured 20 people, including two children and three firefighters.
Barrios and his family were treated for smoke inhalation, but he says everyone is OK now.
One woman remains in critical condition at Lincoln Hospital. Her son also remains hospitalized, according to officials.
The Prospect Avenue fire was among four across the borough that killed three people, injured more than 20 and displaced several families over the weekend.
