16-year-old Dominico Howington faces charges in Midtown slashing

Police have identified the teen arrested in connection to a slashing of a Bronx man working as a waiter in Greenwich Village.

They say 16-year-old Dominico Howington slashed Bobby Barbot at the Silver Spurs Diner. Barbot asked Howington to leave the restaurant after he was seen panhandling customers inside, police say.

The teen left, but returned a short time later and slashed Barbot on the cheek, cutting him so deep he required 120 stiches, both inside and outside of his mouth, according to police.

Police say Howington is facing assault charges and criminal possession of a weapon.
