Man dies in crash on Westchester Ave.

A man in the Bronx died Sunday after crashing his car.



Police say the 81-year-old driver was traveling northbound on Westchester Avenue when he crashed his car into an elevated train station pillar on the corner of Middletown Road and Westchester Avenue.



The man was taken to Jacobi Medical Center with severe head trauma, and was pronounced dead, police say.



The driver has not yet been identified.
