Lent pep rally seeks to boost sprits, enrollment

Pep rallies are usually reserved for sporting events at most schools, but at St. Ann's in Norwood, they're using one for Lent.

Students from pre-K through eighth-grade showed their Catholic pride Friday, while also making a statement that the St. Ann's School is here to stay.

St. Ann's Church closed last summer, and school officials have been working to boost enrollment ever since.

The school also hopes to add more pre-K and kindergarten classes by the time the next Lent pep rally comes around next year.
