Bronx tech Summit held at Metropolitan College
Industry leaders joined forces Friday to make sure Bronx residents have access to technology.
The Bronx Tech Summit at Metropolitan College brought together experts from every area of the tech world.
The Center for Economic Opportunity says that 22 percent of New York City households do not have internet services at home - one of the panels today was devoted to improving that.
It included brainstorming sessions on everything from making the Bronx more of a tech industry hub, to a discussion on how school curriculums in the Bronx can lead to lucrative careers in digital-driven fields. Speakers included CEOs from tech companies.
