SUNY hosts job fair after record-low unemployment report

Elected officials and the SUNY Bronx Educational Opportunity Center hosted a job fair Wednesday after numbers from the state Department of Labor showed that the Bronx's unemployment rate hit an all-time low.
The borough's unemployment rate fell to 5.7 percent in March. In January 2010, more than 14 percent of Bronx residents were without jobs.
In hopes of continuing the positive trend, dozens of employers from fields such as technology, health care and education met with potential employees, and some even had on-the-spot interviews.
The EOC also reviews resumes and helps job seekers by conducting mock interviews.
