Police: Suspect assaulted, robbed man on E. 164th St.

THE BRONX -

Police are asking for the public's help to find a suspect wanted for assaulting a 64-year-old man on East 164th Street.

The suspect, described as being in his mid 20s, approached the victim from behind and punched him in the face, police say.

He continued to kick the victim on the ground, then took his wallet and jewelry. The suspect then fled the scene.

The victim was taken to Lincoln Hospital for his injuries.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
