Bronx citizens patrol their neighborhood

A group of Bronx citizens is trying to curb crime in their neighborhood one day at a time.
There are about 20 members of Community on Patrol, a group that works to help police by reporting crimes in areas such as Throgs Neck, Pelham Bay and Locust Point.
For example, the group would respond to a crash in their area with an accident kit and assist those involved, by taking pictures of damage and waiting until police arrive.
The group is posting signs around their coverage area alerting residents that they are the eyes and ears of the neighborhood.
