Funkmaster Flex visits Bronx neighborhood

Iconic Hot 97 DJ Funkmaster Flex revisited his Bronx neighborhood of Wakefield ahead of his induction into the Bronx Walk of Fame.
Flex stood outside his childhood home in Wakefield Tuesday and recalled sitting in his bedroom and listening to the radios of cars passing by.
"I would look out my window and I could hear all the music they were playing and different things, and that's how I got to love the music," he says.
Flex was recently inducted into the Bronx Walk of Fame and his name will be etched onto a street sign on the Grand Concourse where he grew up.
The 49-year-old has gained worldwide fame since the 90s, making a career from working for the hip-hop station Hot 97.1.
Flex revisited stores in his neighborhood as people passed by and greeted him.
He says losing his mother four years ago was very difficult, but coming back home makes him think of only the good memories.
He will be officially be inducted into the Bronx Walk of Fame on May 21.
