THE BRONX -

A group of young men stole an expensive statue from outside a pet boutique on Riverdale Avenue.

Video from Saturday shows the group walk past Popcorn Pawz near West 236th Street.

One of the suspects then picks up the statue and walks off.

The statue's estimated cost is $400.

"Looks like they could possibly get kicked out of school, face criminal charges against them, for a stupid prank," says Jose, the store's owner.

Police tell News 12 the suspects are facing petit larceny charges.

Although it's unclear if the suspects are students or not, Manhattan College is working with police because it is the closest college to the store. In the video, the suspects appear to be of college age.
