BROOKLYN -

Police say a woman attacked an elderly man inside a restaurant on DeKalb Avenue Thursday.

Officials say it started just after 1 p.m. when the 87-year-old victim walked into a pizzeria with a cigarette.

A woman who was with her child inside the restaurant allegedly got mad at the man and said something to him so he went outside to finish his cigarette.

The victim tells police that he went back inside the pizzeria to apologize and that was when she pushed him into the door causing injuries to his back and his leg.

Police are asking anyone with information to give them a call.
