Mayor, borough president announce Orchard Beach project

Mayor Bill de Blasio and Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. announced a major renovation project at Orchard Beach on Friday.

The mayor announced the $50 million project to fix the pavilion on the beach on the last day of the City Hall in your Borough week in the Bronx.

De Blasio says $20 million will come from the city of New York, $10 million from the governor and $10 million from the borough.

The project is estimated to be completed by the summer of 2021.
