Police seek man in connection with wife’s slaying in Seagate

Police are searching for a man they believe shot and killed his wife in Seagate.
The incident occurred at 11 p.m. Friday night on West 36th Street.
Police say when officers arrived they found 30-year-old Ivelisse Alvarado-Genao with a gunshot wound to the head. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Relatives tell News 12 Alvarado-Genao leaves behind two young daughters.
Police say her husband, 30-year-old Gabino Genao, is a suspect in her death. Genao is described as 6 feet tall and weighs 200 pounds.
Police say Genao has been arrested 15 times on a number of charges which included assaults, aggravated harassments, robbery and a DWI.
