Last Bronx FYE store closes

Posted: Updated:
ALLERTON -

The last FYE entertainment media store in the Bronx has closed.

The borough's last FYE location, on White Plains Road in Allerton, has been around for 15 years.

The building's landlord declined to extend the store's lease, according to FYE's parent company, Trans World Entertainment.

The closure leaves the Bronx with fewer brick-and-mortar resources for anyone who prefers physical media to streaming.

Saturday was the last day the store was open for shoppers. There is only one FYE left in all five boroughs, in Queens.
