THROGS NECK -

Some residents were left without power as temperatures began to heat up in Throgs Neck.

At least a dozen houses on Buttrick Avenue were left without power Sunday night.

Con Ed crews were on scene working to restore power around 8 p.m.

Residents say when it starts to get hot in their neighborhood, the power usually goes out.

Power was restored just in time as temperatures are expected to reach 94 degrees today.
