Man snatches $300 from woman in Wakefield

Police are asking for help finding suspects behind a robbery in Wakefield.

They say a man robbed a woman inside the Pay-O-Matic check cashing store on May 31.

Officials say the man approached the 23-year-old woman from behind, snatched about $300 from her hand and pushed her before running away.

The woman was not injured.

News 12 is told the suspect is African-American, between 35 and 45 years old, about 6 foot 2 and weighs approximately 270 pounds.

The suspect was reportedly last seen wearing a black shirt, black pants and black sneakers.
