HUNTS POINT -

Police are actively investigating a Hunts Point shooting that killed one man and seriously injured a woman.

Police say a 34-year-old man and woman were sitting in a car on the corner of Tiffany Street and Oak Point Avenue Sunday evening when a gunman reached into the vehicle and began to shoot.

Authorities responded to the call at about 6 p.m., and at arrival they found the man bleeding after being shot multiple times in the chest, while the female passenger had been shot in the leg.

Both were transported to a local hospital where the man died. The woman is now listed in stable condition. The identities of the two victims have not yet been released.

Police say they have not made any arrests yet and are working to determine a motive.
