FDNY: 10 injured in 4-alarm fire on Hunts Point Avenue

Four firefighters and six civilians were injured in a four-alarm fire on Hunts Point Avenue, according to fire officials.
Three of those injuries are considered serious but none are life-threatening. The FDNY says all of the injuries were smoke-related.
Officials say they are not sure where the fire started but that it spread quickly. They say there was fire on three of the five floors.
Fire officials also say that a woman and a child were stuck inside the back of the building. They say it was too risky to bring them down while the building was burning so they were sheltered and given oxygen until it was safe to come down.
The FDNY says the fire went to a fourth alarm because additional crews were needed to relieve firefighters who had been at the scene. Over 160 firefighters responded.
The Red Cross says it is assisting displaced residents.
