THE BRONX -

Members of the 46th Precinct house in the Bronx Thursday mourned the loss of their friend and co-worker, Officer Miosotis Familia.

A growing memorial full with flowers, candles and heart-felt messages litter the outside wall on the sidewalk near the precinct house.

Many stopped by to show their respects for Familia.

Familia was shot and killed while sitting inside of her mobile command post Wednesday. The accused killer was fatally shot by police during a shootout.

Blue and black bunting hangs outside the precinct to honor the fallen officer.
