A man was stabbed after police say he was tricked into buying an iPhone box containing a single bar of soap in the Bronx.
The incident happened on June 29, at the corner of E 167th Street and the Grand Concourse.
The 38-year-old man met another man where he exchanged cash for the iPhone box, however after opening it he realized there was only a bar of soap and no phone inside.
Police say the victim chased the man who sold him the phone but was stabbed once in the chest by another man who was waiting nearby.
The suspects also removed $600 from the man’s wallet.
He was transported to the hospital in stable condition and is expected to be OK.
One of the suspects was captured on nearby surveillance video.
Police say they are still looking for both suspects.
