NYPD surprises boy with autism who was victim of home invasion

The NYPD surprised a 7-year-old boy with autism who was tied up with his own shoe laces during a home invasion in the Bronx.
Officers from the 47th Precinct surprised Caleb Gonzalez at his home with gifts and an invitation to a car show hosted by police that benefits officers who have children with autism.
Gonzalez was being walked home by a neighbor on March 30, when police say two men pistol whipped his neighbor inside the hallway of his apartment building, tied the boy up and ransacked his home, stealing $5,000.
Sgt. Claudio Coca, whose sister has special needs, read about the incident in the newspaper and thought he needed to do something.
Even though the incident took place in the 48th Precinct, Coca gathered his officers and surprised Gonzalez.
The NYPD car show will take place next week.
