Formula E racing kicks off in Brooklyn with electric vehicles

Formula E racing is coming to New York City for the first time since the 19th century and the checkered flags are flying in Brooklyn.
All the cars racing in the inaugural New York City E-Prix will be entirely electronic and the race is set for a new track at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal.
The 1.2 mile circuit features 10 turns, winding through the Red Hook waterfront and even showcases a driverless car.
Fans say they are thrilled international car racing is back in New York.
"I think this race car thing will be good for the community and I think it will inspire people to bring more things to Red Hook," says Deija Boynes.
The racing will continue through Sunday in Red Hook.
