Funeral held for Bed-Stuy mom killed in shooting

A funeral was held Friday for a young Bed-Stuy mother gunned down in Brooklyn last week.
Friends and relatives bid an emotional farewell to Chyna Battle, who was killed along with another mother in the crossfire of a shooting at the courtyard of the Stuyvesant Garden Houses.
Battle, 21, and Shaqwanda Staley, 29, were standing with a large group of people when gunfire erupted. Police say a bullet struck Battle in the head. Another shot struck Staley in the back.
Hundreds came to the Gospel Tabernacle Association in Brownsville to pay their final respects. Members of Battle's family said they were touched by the number of people at the service.
The NYPD is offering a $10,000 reward to anyone with information about the shootings.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS or 888-57-PISTA for Spanish speakers.
