Students participate in coding and tech festival

Students in Brooklyn are participating in a weekend-long coding and technology event with an emphasis on hip-hop culture.
The Source 360 Tech Hackathon at Brooklyn Borough Hall teaches students in grades six-12 a variety of skills including the latest in arts and culture, music, film and television, fashion, sports, business and digital technology.
By the end of the event, students will create a mock digital magazine for the hip-hop magazine company Source.
Organizers say the event inspires students to bring their concept to a reality through coding.
