Morris Heights day care investigated for alleged child abuse

Parents of children at a Tremont Avenue day care center say their children have been coming home with tales of physical abuse at the hands of a teacher, and the expanding investigation now involves two city agencies.
The kids are between 2 and 4 years old and attend an early life facility accredited by the Department of Health.
Health officials inspected the facility last Thursday after receiving complaints. They say they found no violations.
But now the Administration for Children's Services is also reviewing alleged abuse by two teachers there.
The day care center did not immediately respond to a News 12 request for comment.
