Woman dies from injuries suffered in Allerton crash

ALLERTON -

The woman involved in a deadly car crash earlier this week in Allerton has died, police say.

According to police, a black Honda SUV was traveling southbound on Bronx Park East Thursday night when it collided with a second vehicle that was heading east while exiting the Bronx River Parkway.

The first car was carrying five people, one of which was a 65-year-old woman who was pronounced dead at Jacobi Medical Center today, investigators say.

All others involved were also taken to the hospital for various injuries.

No arrests have been made.
