Family: Bronx man stabbed while in police custody
A family is looking for answers after they claim a Bronx man was stabbed while in police custody.
Police say 23-year-old Joseph Curet was stabbed twice by another patient inside St. Barnabas Hospital.
Officials say Tomas Berroa was arrested and charged with assault in connection to the incident.
The victim's family says that Curet was arrested hours earlier for threatening police.
News 12 reached out to St. Barnabas Hospital and the NYPD for comment but has not yet received a response.
