SOUNDVIEW -

A Bronx housing program has received top marks from the federal government.

Residents at Soundview Senior Housing say it's like one big family living there.

"I like to live here because all of the people come together," says resident Alba Millan.

The building is one of NYCHA's Section 8 subsidized housing facilities. NYCHA's Leased Housing Department has received a "high performer" designation from the Department of Housing and Urban Development two years in a row.

The Bronx has the highest number of units covered by Section 8 in the city.

NYCHA says it's looking to create more project-based facilities that are built by developers and filled by NYCHA.
