The parents of a 3-month-old girl who died early this year are voicing their frustrations with the Administration for Children’s Services, or ACS.

Sherlin Camacho died at Montefiore Hospital on Jan. 16. A week prior, police responded to a call that Sherlin was having trouble breathing. They found her with multiple fractures to the body and blunt-force injury to the head.

Authorities questioned the infant's parents, Katherine Plasencia and Michael Camacho, regarding what the incident.

The couple’s 6-year-old son, Manuel Camacho, was also questioned and eventually taken away from his parents while the ACS and NYPD performed an investigation

Katherine and Michael then had another baby girl in July. She too went directly into foster care.

"It's like I lost my 3-month-old baby and then I lost my son and then I lost my other daughter as well," Katherine said.

The parents claim that ACS is petitioning a family court judge to have their visitation rights with their son be completely removed. They also allege that Manuel is not being cared for properly in his foster homes and that he has been moved 15 different times since January.

A spokesperson from ACS told News 12 in a statement: "The safety and well-being of children in foster care is our priority and any allegation of maltreatment is of the greatest concern. ACS takes any allegations seriously and when they are raised we carry out our legal obligation to investigate them fully and take any appropriate action."

The parents were not charged in the death of the 3-month-old.

The investigation is ongoing.
