With Veteran's Day just over a week away, one New York City nonprofit is helping out some local heroes.
God's Love We Deliver provides meals to people who are unable to cook or shop for themselves. Every week, the nonprofit delivers thousands of meals to hundreds of people across the borough.
Vietnam veteran Charles Bell was introduced to God's Love We Deliver after he had a heart attack. He says he'd be lost without the organization's deliveries.
"The people are first class, the food is absolutely delicious and nutritious," Bell says.
Thousands of volunteers are needed to keep the organization running.
God's Love We Deliver is now starting to offer special holiday meals for the upcoming holidays.
