Piano donated to Bronx school through city program

A piano was donated to a Bronx school as part of the city's Sing for Hope program.
The pink-colored piano was donated to the Rose Hill Pre-K Center on Marion Avenue Thursday.
About 200 students gathered in the gymnasium to see and hear the new piano being played.
Sing For Hope is an annual arts project where pianos are displayed near high traffic areas around the city and eventually donated to public schools.
The piano is one of 50 donated to the school and was painted by the cast of the hit Broadway show ‘Waitress.’
A representative from the school says they submitted an essay to Sing for Hope organizers to get the piano.
