THE BRONX -

Two teenagers were arrested Sunday morning for allegedly assaulting a bodega employee, a taxi driver and the taxi's passenger with a knife.

The incident happened at the bodega on East 198th Street and Grand Concourse.

Police say the two suspects fled and got into an occupied cab, in which they slashed a passenger and cut off the thumb of the 69-year-old taxi driver.

Police were able to track down the suspects and arrested Kenneth Guzman and Juan Carlos Sanchez, both 17 years old.

Both teens were charged with assault and harassment.
