The acclaimed FX drama series "The Americans" filmed in the Throgs Neck section of the Bronx Tuesday afternoon.

"The Americans" follows two KGB spies posing as an average American family living in Washington, D.C.

The show filmed on East Tremont Avenue, taking it back to the Cold War era with period-appropriate cars and set dressing. It also shot inside of Patricia's Restaurant.

The production compensates local businesses that are affected by film crews. Instead of keeping that money, some businesses have decided to donate funds totaling more than $20,000 to local charities.
