A global environmental movement made its way to the Bronx Sunday.
About 100 volunteers from the World Mission Society Church of God picked up trash as a part of the "Mother's Street" cleanup movement.
Volunteers walked up and down Webster Avenue throughout the morning, getting garbage off the street and raking leaves.
Organizers say the goal of the campaign is to create environmental awareness in communities.
The initiative is part of an international movement to clean neighborhoods near the church's more than 6,000 locations in 175 countries until Dec. 6.
During the course of the campaign, the church hopes to pick up trash across 25,000 miles, equivalent to the circumference of the earth.
