Search continues for driver who led police on chase in stolen SUV

Police say they're searching for the driver who led officers on a chase in a stolen SUV, then fled on foot after crashing.
Investigators say a Dodge Durango that had been stolen in Manhattan was spotted speeding on the eastbound Northern State Parkway Saturday shortly before 1 p.m.
News 12 is told that officers tried to pull the vehicle over, but the driver did not stop. The SUV then collided with another car after exiting the parkway, near Vets Highway and Harned Road in Commack.
All of the occupants in the Durango fled the scene on foot after the crash. Three of the occupants were caught following a manhunt that involved officers searching in neighboring backyards and a police helicopter.
Two of the suspects have been identified as James Tafari and Anthony Alcindor-Louis, both from Brooklyn.  A third passenger who is 15-years-old was issued a ticket to appear in family court.
Police say they're still searching for the driver.
The three apprehended suspects have been charged with possession of stolen property and resisting arrest.
