THE BRONX -

A strip of apartment buildings on Wallace Avenue is receiving complaints from residents for alleged neglectful management.

There are dozens of violations between four buildings located at 2075, 2077, 2079 and 2081 Wallace Ave., according to the Department of Housing Preservation and Development.

Residents at 2081 Wallace Ave. say they are living in unsafe conditions, with issues ranging from a lack of heat and hot water to weak infrastructure and malfunctioning plumbing.

"This ceiling fell down on top of my child, on his head,” said one of the residents. “The kitchen ceiling fell, the bedroom ceiling [fell,] and they do nothing. We call and they do nothing."

Some residents tell News 12 they have had to use water bottles to bathe themselves.

According to HPD, there are 147 open violations between the four buildings.

The Department of Buildings also reports that there are two open work without a permit violations.

News 12 has tried to contact Metro Management for comment but has not yet received a response.
