Hamilton cast member offers stage advice to Bronx students

Broadway cast members visited a Bronx middle school to give advice for students getting ready to audition for roles in a musical.
It was part of the audition workshop for the annual musical at Baychester Middle School.
There's a lot of interest in the theater program at this school and about 100 sixth through eighth-graders competing for about 50 spots as cast and crew members, school officials say.
Teacher Collin Andrulonis says he wants to make sure the kids put their best foot forward during auditions in January.
"They were excited to see it was people from Hamilton and the Broadway production of Beautiful, the Carole King musical as well," Andrulonis  says.
One of the  actresses who visited the school is currently in the hit musical "Hamilton," and she happens to be Andurlonis's wife.
She and two other Broadway performers came to the Bronx and hosted mock auditions with students Monday to  help build their confidence.
This year's performance will be the musical Hairspray.
