2 Hempstead schools reopen after heating, plumbing issues

Two of the three schools closed in Hempstead Tuesday due to heating and plumbing issues are expected to reopen today.
Hempstead High School and Front Street School will be open to students, but Prospect School will remain closed.
Burst pipes may have caused the water on the high school floor.

Some parents complained that their kids were left out in the cold Tuesday because they were never notified that the schools were closed.
Hempstead district officials and some parents tell News 12 robo-calls went out when the issues were discovered.
