Some tenants at the Clason Point Houses are using unsafe tactics to warm up their homes.

Tenant Henry Caballero says he has contacted NYCHA on multiple occasions and has been using his oven and an electric heater to stay warm.

"They need to communicate a little more," Caballero says of the agency.

Christin Cole says she couldn't believe the amount of ice that formed on her apartment's windows due to the lack of heat.

"It's freezing in my apartment. I can literally see my breath - and I literally mean see my breath - when I speak," she says. "I call the NYCHA numbers daily. I called like every two hours one day."

News 12 reached out to NYCHA about the issue, which said a broken boiler has been causing the heat loss.
