DSNY continues to clear snow in the Bronx

THE BRONX -

The Department of Sanitation continued to clear more snow from the Bronx Monday amid higher temperatures.

Temperatures this week are expected to be warmer and help melt some of the snow from last week's storm.

The National Safety Council says those looking to clear snow from their properties should do so with caution.

They advise taking it slow and stretching before beginning. They suggest only shoveling fresh, powdery snow because it's lighter in weight. The NSC also recommends pushing snow rather than lifting it up to make it easier on your back.
