Melting snow makes for messy streets, sidewalks

FORDHAM -

Melting snow from last week's snowstorm is creating messy streets and sidewalks.

Some areas are still packed with layers of snow that are slowly melting, making it difficult for some people walking through.

News 12 meteorologists say that more snow is expected to melt on Friday, with rain and temperatures in the mid- to upper-50s.

Bronx residents say they are happy to be wearing light jackets, compared to the heavy layers they were wearing last week. But the warmer weather is not expected to last.

Sunday is expected to bring back the cold temperatures, with highs in the upper 20s.
