Police offer reward after trail of destruction in Suffolk

Authorities are offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to an arrest of the suspects in more than 30 incidents of mischief in Commack and East Northport over the weekend.
Suffolk police say there are reports of 37 incidents on more than 25 streets in East Northport and Commack late Saturday night into early Sunday morning. Caravan Drive, Barnes Lane, Greg Lane and Cornflower Avenue were among the streets targeted.
Home and vehicle owners along those streets say they found multiple windows and mirrors had been smashed.
Police say most of the damage was done in roughly 2 ½ hours. They say the suspects used a white or light-colored SUV to make their way from house to house leaving a path of destruction."I'm confident that there's more people that know who did this, people who are familiar with this vehicle,” said Suffolk Police Chief Stuart Cameron. “I'm confident that we are probably going to catch these people."
Authorities are urging anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
