Bronx residents partake in popular Zumba class
Bronx residents are partaking in a popular Zumba class in the borough.
The Elite Stars Dance Academy on Williamsbridge Road hosts the classes.
Freddy and Maria Dibartolo, a married couple from the Bronx, say they just love it.
"We can't stop, we follow her everywhere,” Freddy says.
They're talking about Zumba instructor Alison Santiago who leads the class.
"It's just a fun dance party," Santiago says.
Participants work up a sweat without skipping a beat during an exercise disguised to look and feel like you're dancing.
"It's exercise in disguise really because you're dancing for like an hour and you don't feel like you're working out," one woman in the class says.
The class sees over 100 people three times a week.
