1 dead, 2 hospitalized in Bronx crash; driver arrested

Police say a 31-year-old man is dead and another is in police custody after a fatal car accident overnight on Burke Avenue.
Officials say a Jeep was speeding northbound on Bronx Boulevard just before 3 a.m. when it collided with a Nissan Altima, which was making a left turn at the intersection on Burke Avenue.
Police say the Altima, which had two people inside, then slammed into a third car.
Police tell News 12 that driver Shiquan Dunn, of the Bronx, was pronounced dead.
Two women, one a passenger in the Altima and the other an occupant of the third car, were taken to Jacobi Medical Center. Officials say their injuries are not considered life-threatening.
The driver of the Jeep was taken to Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Police say the 54-year-old Jeep driver is under arrest for DWI.
